I've been in affiliate marketing for some time (I mainly use Linkshare, Commission Junction, Amazon, Ebay, and Clickbank Clickbooth as well as some affiliate programs at various levels, such as Global Domains International). However, I realized that some advertisers (In particular, the Commission Junction) it expects to generate sales for them in a "timely" fashion (Eg, 6 months or less) and some may end the program if you do not generate sales for them very soon. Currently I have two sites, but have a low page rank yet (which are relatively new, after all), so do not get a lot of traffic to them.
